Drive4Life raise $74,000 for Northcott
A motivated group of four-wheel drive enthusiasts from across Australia conquered the remote wilderness of the Victorian High country to raise $74,000 for Northcott Disability Services.Eight groups of four-wheel drive vehicles were led by experienced guides through the Victorian high country, camping at four different locations within the Alpine National Park from April 24 to 29. The event was sanctioned by Parks Victoria.Mick Whitehead, Northcott CEO Glenn Gardner, Manager Northcott Equipment Solutions Peter Blackburn and Chris Bates.
Participants of all ages, including a Northcott representative, travelled from various parts of Australia to take part. A donation of $1,000 per vehicle was pledged to Northcott Equipment Solutions, a unique service that provides equipment and support to people with disabilities across NSW. Sponsorship from ARB Corporation (manufacturers and suppliers of 4WD equipment) and from Cooper Tyres, to cover running and administration costs, ensured that every cent went directly to Northcott.
