Lightforce 4WD Challenge 1 – 3 May 2009
The Lightforce 4WD Challenge is happening on 1st -3rd of May 2009
The event is being held only 30 minutes from Melbourne and approximately 10 minutes from the Melbourne Airport this is the first time the public will see the Bulla property as last year was a closed event.
The event is a combination of the Vic Winch and the Chick Winch and is a group B event with 4 classes:
- Challenge
- Production
- Chick
- Mixed (Female driver / Male navigator).
The basis for an event like this is to give the up and coming competitors the forum in which to compete with people of similar experience. Competitors who have won an event or continually get in the top 3 in other events are excluded from entering.
Some of the entrants have no experience and will be mentored and encouraged by some of the most experienced 4WDers in the country on driving and winching techniques. With that in mind they will find the track selection will certainly test their ability in driving, winching and very importantly communication.
There are 4 all female teams who have completed a Stiletto Camp which was a whole weekend on driving technique, winch training and safety plus a few of the secrets of the trade to shave off a few valuable seconds. We hope to build up the female participation over the years and our 4 teams will be considered the pioneers of the Victorian female 4WD racing. As joining us this time is Team Barbie from Queensland to have a go against the Victorian girls.

Times: Gates open from 8am on Saturday and 8am Sunday
