Aussie 4 Wheel Drive Mud Racing July 09 Offroad Rally Day

Saturday 17th July saw the Offroader team out for the day at the a4wdmra Rally Day the day was set up as a rally /  Car trial day in the far Side of Bendigo the day started out on a private property where we got our instructions for the day’s events the first challenge of the day was a nice little track around an old quarry with water crossings which saw several cars in need of recovery and steep hills with drop offs and deep ruts which let the boys and girls show just how powerful and manueverable their cars were.  We  then moved on to the second special stage, following the directions provided we wound our way around the local area answering numerous trivia questions based on the local area.

The second special stage involved a watery dam the track laid out lead us through a nice slopy and muddy area with a few deep ruts & several more water crossings, moving off from the second stage there was lots more tracks to cover from following fence lines, to crossing the rail way line and identifing trees along the way the third stage was on private property it involved a steep creel bed requiring numerous crossings and a couple of close encounters with some trees.  The last stage of the day saw all the big boys take on a big and unforgiving hill which saw more than one participant fail to reach the top, a long list of carnage from broken axels to bent gards and a few other mishaps saw a rather sudden end come to several entrants that afternoon.  Over all we hade a awesome day and would like to thank the a4wdmra for allowing us to join in the fun here are a few shots from the day
