Victorian Off Road Buggy Racing

vorbc

Last weekend saw the 5th round of the VORBC (Victorian Off Road Buggy Club) held at the JetBoat Complex in Melton Victoria, the VORBC is a grass roots Offroad Buggy club that was formed with the aim of providing an environment where like minded buggy enthusiasts, both racing and non racing could meet for racing events, discussions and general get togethers.  The club has developed a set of rules and regulations that all club participants must adhere too whilst managing to keep the costs and level of entry at an affordable level.

There are 2 classes of buggies:

  • Intermediates are 250cc
  • Open class which are 1300cc

The choice of class is entirely up to you and only limited by your budget.  Average price range to get started is betwen $6,000 and $16,000.  There is an established network of tracks for a variety of events around regional Victoria and the fringe of Melbourne thereby giving members a diverse range of challenges to tackle throughout the year whilst still staying close to home.

This is probably one of the cheapest ways to get into Offroad Racing so if you’re interested why not check out the clubs site www.vorbc.com.au for details on the next event.
