Many people trek to the High Country each year. People from all over the globe head up to enjoy the beautiful scenary by a wide range of methods. Be it 4wding, Mountain Biking, Hiking, Cross country skiing or Motorbiking there are many ways to enjoy the high country. Scattered through the whole high country are a large number of Huts. Build over the last 150 years by people for a number of purposes, Safety in the winter from blizzards such as some of the skiing huts, some built for Loggers to live in whilst working in the area and logging the timber as well as some built by the Cattleman to live whilst mustering cattle each year.

We have been informed of a few people who have had the nyloc nuts on the OME LTR remote canister bracket come loose on trips of late, causing the canister to be torn off, and the shock to lose its oil, and stop working. ARB has replaced these shocks under warranty, but if you are unsure of what to check, drop in to your nearest ARB dealer, and ask them to check them for you.
New Forester 2.5 Tyre Options.
If you own a Subaru forester and want a A/T tyre for more outback use than the standard tyre option will handle, the options available are the 215/65R16 Dunlop Grandtrek AT2, the Geolander A/T and Toyo Transpath SU. These tyres are aprox 20mm higher than the standard tyre and may need to the spare to be carry party deflated to fit in the wheel well. Check with your tyre dealer and state regs on changing tyre size and suitability for your use and vehicle before fitting though.
Melbourne 4×4 Show 2003
The Melbourne 4×4 show opened at 4pm yesterday at the Melbourne Exibition centre, and for the first time in many years it was more like a show for release and inspection of products than a cheap retail shopping spree. There were quite a few new products: campers, tents, roof rack systems, tyres, vehicles, and quite a few GPS and communications stands with plenty of staff on hand answering questions.ARB had the new 120 series bullbar on display on a vehicle on their stand, Track had the new offroad campervan on display, Toyota had the new Kluger, Engel had the new fridges, and Pro Comp were running out a lot of recovery equipment from their stand, though a noticable absence this year were Kaymar. The show opens at 10 am Friday, Saturday and Sunday, and closes at 10pm. Entry is$15 per person, and if you buy anything, keep your reciept handy because you will need it to get your goods out of the centre.Darren McRae.
